The J-1 Internship/Trainee program (ITP) in the United States is designed to allow University students, recent graduates or young professionals to come to the United States and participate in a structured and guided work-based learning program that fosters professional development in the intern’s or trainee’s specific academic or occupational field.
ITP promotes mutual cultural understanding and encourages personal and professional development by creating opportunities for international candidates to intern or train with U.S. businesses. Participants need to get the J-1 Visa for their internship program.

ITP提供你可長達至一年半的時間讓你在美國本地，一邊增加自己專業經驗，一邊賺錢，獨立地過著“美國本地人“或“美國員工“的生活，感受著美國一年的四季變化。你公司亦會讓你參加不同類型的企業活動，讓你深入體驗美國本地文化與體驗不同的節日。
你需要自己找房子、煮食、為自己下班後的時間安排活動、認識朋友等等。在與本國不一樣的生活環境及工作氛圍，挑戰不一樣的事物，你將會得到很多個人空間去思考生活，從而不只在工作上，亦能在個人其他方面有所增值。
J-1簽證, 合法身份賺取實習工資, 受美國國務院保障
J-1 交流訪客簽證是一個美國國務院專為促進教育、藝術及科學範疇的個人、知識及技術交流而立法設立的簽證。參加者會被提供國務院簽證擔保文件DS 2019、DS 7002而在領事館獲發簽證，亦在在美國國內申請社會安全卡，是一個合法的身份，可以為美國僱主「工作」，亦獲得美國僱主發出的實習補助 （工資），安全及個人權益受美國社會保障。
而且，美國國務院亦有為僱用J-1實習生的企業有所安全規定，因此會安排給參加者的僱主，皆是合法注冊、英文為企業溝通主要語言、有為僱員提供勞工安全保險、員工以本地人為主的正規企業。

- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree or above level of education.
OR
- Have graduated from an institution within 12 months of the internship start date in the US.
AND
- Verifiable English Language skills by an English test (e.g. a minimum 550 of the TOEFL or IETLS 7.0 or equivalent score on an English proficiency test) & in-person English Speaking assessment conducted by an English instructor.
*Remarks: This program is a maximum 12 months. There are no extensions.
Training Program
Requirements
Must have completed a degree or professional certificate outside the US and have 1 year related work experience outside the US.
OR
5 years of related work experience.
AND
Verifiable English Language skills by an English test (e.g. a minimum 550 of the TOEFL or IETLS 7.0 or equivalent score on an English proficiency test) & in-person English Speaking assessment conducted by an English instructor.
*Remarks: This program is a maximum 18 months (Except for applicants in Hospitality Management field )
There are no extensions.
