暑期美國工作旅遊計畫
暑期美國工作旅遊計畫(Work & Travel USA )為美國國務院下交換賓客計畫之⼀一(Exchange Visitors Programs)．計畫宗旨為⽂化交流，使用同為美國交流訪客簽證(J-1)提供世界各國18歲以上大專院校在學生利用暑期，深⼊了解美國⽂化與體驗真實的美國生活，進⽽培養青年獨⽴自主的精神，在計畫中給予學生合法到美國打工的機會,在美國打工所得可以足夠支付⽇常開銷，以最少的花費停留更⾧的時間，以達到美國⽂化交流的目的。
PROGRAM DURATION & REQUIREMENT
計劃進行時間 PROGRAM DURATION
參加者需在計劃中為最少一名僱主工作 最少 3 個月及最多 4 個月時間,
而工作時間則按照美國國務院為每個地區就此計劃規定的時間內進行:
香港: 15 May – 1 Sept;
台灣: 1 Jun – 30 Sept;
澳門: 15 May – 30 Sep;
中國內地: 1 Jun – 15 Sept
如果你的學校沒有提供夠長的暑假假期, No worries! Final year Student 也可於應屆畢業的暑假中參予計劃。
*注意: 若你是應屆畢業生, 你完成整個大專/大學課程後的6個月亦可參予計劃; 但你需要在你畢業前的最遲最後一個學期內報名。當你完成了整個大專/大學課程後便不能再報名或提交申請。
參加者可在所屬地區的指定計劃時間範圍內, 根據自己學校放暑假日期及僱主要求, 選擇自己的開始日期及結束日期偏好。而你在工作結束日期 (等同列印在DS-2019表格上的計劃結束日期) 後將獲得 30 days 寬限期 (Grace period) 作歸國之準備及/或僅在美國境內旅遊的用途。
申請條件 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- 申請人必須:
- 年滿18至28歲
- 在當地政府認可的高等院校就讀的全日制學生。你必須是在讀的學生或研究生；修讀的課程為期最少2年，研究生的學制為期少於2年亦可以接受
- 具備中等 (Intermediate Level) 或以上程度的英語溝通能力
- 能夠在美工作至少3個月
- 擁有香港、澳門、台灣、或中國內地的居民合法居民身份且並非美國公民
- 需適應力強、包容性高、獨立性佳、需工作認真負責
- 接受由Go Abroad USA安排的計劃甄選及面試
- 有足夠的資金（最低為1000美元）讓你可於收到第一份工資前支付生活費
*只要申請人欲想報名時具有以上條件, 均可具有參加資格, 且參加次數不限。

Program Characteristics

Work & Travel USA 是對在學時期的你最容易且成本最低, 卻能實現你的美國夢的方法! 你並不需儲夠龐大的旅遊基金或在美國作為交換學生時數月開支才能出發到美國。在這個計劃, 你可以在美國打工3-4個月賺錢, 邊賺邊玩, 賺取旅費給自己一個美國冒險之旅!
最重要的是, 這並不是單單一個旅遊計劃而已…你將會實實在在的在美國過著一般美國人的工作及生活3-4個月, 體驗美國人的日常生活、工作文化, 結交來自不同國家的朋友, 鍛鍊英語會話, 擴闊國際視野, 經過種種外地生活的挑戰而學會獨立生活變得成熟及認識自己…這些都是每年全球有超過 10萬個來自不同國家的大專學生參加 Work & Travel Program 的原因!
主要工作類型
TYPES OF EMPLOYERS AND POSITIONS
SWT Program的工作多數為初階而易上手的勞務型 / 服務類型工作 e.g. 餐廳內外場工作人員、清潔洗滌人員、遊樂場售票員、機器材操作員、收銀員、房務整理等。
But don’t worry! 大部分工作不要求工作經驗, 否則僱主會提供工作培訓。對於能夠有個愉快的工作體驗與否, 最重要的是你能夠Be Open Minded, 對待每一份工作選擇為一個學習機會, 找出及享受你的工作樂趣…and HAVE FUN!
雖然參加學生有權利選擇僱主及工作，但就像一般應徵工作的程序一樣，僱主也有選擇僱員的權利，因此參加學生不一定會被安排到優先選擇的工作，也不能因喜好自行挑選工作內容或任意更換工作。不過所有參加學生都可比照美國相關勞工法規獲得應得的福利、合理的薪資、及合法的工作時數。
熱門的僱主及工作都是名額有限, 先到先得!
因此若你遇到你覺得不錯的工作, 切勿猶豫太久, 以免錯失良機!
